Founder's Statement
The dawn of 2008 marks the 10th anniversary of Brisben Water Technologies. As it was in 1998, our vision for stewardship of the world's water remains clear. We are continually learning, through invention and application of technology, new ways to fulfill our mission to help organizations that use water resources to improve their processes and best practices so they can meet business goals and environmental challenges successfully.
Water is an awe-inspiring force in nature, covering two-thirds of the Earth's surface and comprising 70 percent of the human body by weight. Water has the power to sustain all life. Brisben Water's water treatment systems are at work addressing the large-scale challenges of wastewater in oil and gas production, and contaminated ballast water in the maritime industry.
Water also has the power to destroy, through hurricanes, tsunamis and floods that can devastate vast populations. The Brisben Water Technologies mobile emergency water filtration system was deployed to Waveland, Mississippi to supply clean water in the aftermath of Hurricane Katrina.
In the world's developed countries we continue to take water for granted. Clean water flows freely through an established infrastructure into our homes, schools and offices and across our farms and grazing lands. While we have instant access to this life-sustaining substance, millions of others do not. Brisben Water offers its advanced water treatment technologies in a unique micro-utility powered by renewable energy for use in remote, off-grid locations around the world.
We will continue on our mission, encouraged by the world's growing awareness of the need to solve these pressing challenges of access to and preservation of our water resources.
