Engineering Solutions for Mission Critical Water Challenges

Brisben Water Systems Inc. (ESI) develops water engineering technologies to help solve the growing challenge of protecting and conserving our planet?s diminishing natural water resources. Natural disasters, terrorist attacks, industrial pollution, worldwide military engagements and other factors compromising our water resources present the challenges and opportunities that drive Brisben Water?s ongoing technology innovation and development.

Through a Joint Marketing and Supply Agreement with Pierce Manufacturing, Brisben Water is providing a water filtration system fully integrated into a rugged, six-wheel drive Pierce chassis to deliver the world?s first Tactical Water Filtration Truck (TWFT).  The TWFT is designed to meet the military?s critical water requirements for troop deployments, as well as the ability to respond and provide clean water following natural disasters like Hurricane Katrina and the Tsunami in Southeast Asia. This water filtration system is based on the same technology developed by Brisben Water for its Mobile Emergency Filtration System (MEFS), with the ability to transform seawater, or water supplies contaminated by biological and chemical agents, into drinking water.

Brisben Water?s newest technology, Hydro-Gen, provides water filtration and backup power generation for municipalities, hospitals, nursing homes and other community services organizations as well as commercial and residential customers.  This unique technology integrates filtration and power in a single system ideally suited for emergency response following a hurricane or other natural or manmade disaster. When disaster strikes, a community?s power utilities are often crippled and their fresh water resources become contaminated. The Hydro-Gen provides water remediation and backup power, even in remote regions of the world that lack reliable sources of water and power.

Brisben Water?s initial filtration technology is its high-volume Mobile Emergency Filtration System (MEFS), the first system of its kind to be tested and verified by the U.S.  Environmental Protection Agency (EPA) through its Environmental Technology Verification Program (ETV) for decontamination of water following a terrorist attack with biological or chemical nerve agents, including super-chlorinated water. The unit?s flexibility and multi-function filtration components allow it to clean and filter virtually any water sent through its system, and remediate it to clean drinking water.

Through a technology partnership with WaterEye Corp., Brisben Water has enhanced its mobile filtration systems with real-time web-based monitoring capabilities. All that is required is a laptop computer and an Internet connection or a satellite link, and personnel can log on to check water filtration, quality and flow statistics anytime and anywhere. WaterEye?s patented technology will allow the Brisben Water customer to be able to continuously monitor the water source entering the filtration system and the filtered water as it leaves the unit.
